Madison Joins GE Family Services as a Master level social work intern to work with adolescents facing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and trauma.

Hello everyone! My name is Maddie, I am a Master of Social Work intern at the University of Alaska Anchorage. I consider my role as a therapist to be one of the most sacred parts of my life. Not because of my own effort, but because of the beauty inherently found in walking alongside people in search of safety, meaning, belonging, healing, hope, and love. In and through each therapeutic relationship I build, I walk away changed and inspired by people’s capacity to forgive, grow, accept, change, and see the beauty in themselves and the world around them. Nothing brings me more joy than instilling hope and witnessing the magic of others overcoming difficult experiences.

My passion lies in working with youth and adolescents facing PTSD, high ACEs, sexual and physical abuse, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. I believe in the strength and resilience of each individual and am dedicated to creating a safe, empathetic space where they can begin to heal and thrive. I look forward to holding space for you and embarking on a journey of healing together. My therapeutic approach is grounded in strength and empowerment-based therapy, where I focus on helping individuals recognize and build upon their inherent strengths.

I believe that everyone can overcome challenges, and my role is to support you in discovering and harnessing your inner resilience. At GE Family Services, I’m here to listen, empower, and help you navigate your path to well-being. I can't wait to meet you and start your transformative journey together!
