Hello, I am so grateful you are taking the first step to reach your goals.

My name is Tia Kraus. I am currently living on the traditional lands of the Tanana Dene in interior Alaska. I am Indigenous from Nenana, Alaska. I really love laughing and making others laugh. I strive to find joy in everything I do. When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, and experiencing the beauty of the outdoors. Specifically kayaking and backpacking adventures.

I am a master-level social worker who has experience working with youth and families.  I have worked in a school setting for the past ten years. I am currently working towards my clinical licensing (LCSW). I have experience working with trauma, depression, foster care, anxiety, LBTQ+, and transgender clients.

I incorporate a collaborative therapeutic approach that is person-centered, strength-based, and promotes autonomy that honors the individual.  My eclectic approach is crafted to help each individual get what they need in a supportive and understanding environment. Types of therapies utilized include: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, and Person Centered Therapy.

My practice is centered around individuals seeking support during any stage in their healing journey. My goal is to create a safe and healing environment that promotes self-realization and growth. I invite you to reach out and I would be honored to help and cheer you on during this period of your life.
